AUDIO VISUAL SECTION - DIY BASS RESPONSE | Page 1 | 2 | 3 Any absorption or amplification over a frequency range, which is introduced by the room, will colourize the sound we hear. The factors affecting the room’s frequency response at the listening position are the free-field speaker response, speaker/location in the room, room surface finishes and dimensions. Since most of today’s speakers are of high quality and we have little control over the room dimensions, our attention shall be focused on proper speaker placement and acoustical treatment.
