For most people, the quest of attaining high quality audio seems to be focused on the upgrade of AV equipment. Little did they know that the behaviour of sound when reflected off the walls of the room actually affects the subjective impression of the sound. The sound may be absorbed, reflected, or diffused, thus introducing sonic distortion that prevents the listeners from hearing all the purity and details the speakers and electronics are otherwise capable of delivering.

When you stop and realize that the AV equipment and room interference completes the two parts of the equation, it seems prudent to strive for the missing sonic solution. Remember, dollar for dollar, acoustic treatment to the room will make more of an audible difference than any piece of electronic hardware, loudspeaker, or cable.
